Ways to exfoliate your face
Nowadays, exfoliation is a ubiquitous term in the beauty industry. If you want healthy, glowing, and smooth skin, you will need exfoliation. Exfoliation can improve the texture of your skin and give you your desired skin. Exfoliation is not only for your face; it is also for your feet and hands.
But to get the maximum benefits, you will need to know to exfoliate the face without hurting skin. There are many ways to exfoliate your face, but the right one is exfoliating safely by skin type. Not every method is helpful for your skin. In this article, I’m going to share some information about face exfoliation.
What is Exfoliation?
At first, we have to know what exfoliation is and how it works. Exfoliation of the skin is removing the dead shells from the outermost surface of our skin. Exfoliation can be done in two ways. One is physical exfoliation, and another one is chemical exfoliation. Physical exfoliation is the process of using sponge, towels, pads, and hot water to remove the dead shell from our skin. Chemical exfoliation involves chemical compounds like fruit acids, microbeads, granules, etc., to rub and remove the mortal shell from our skin.
Physical exfoliation is relatively easy and safe, but chemical exfoliation is more effective than the other one. Exfoliation naturally refers to the process of getting healthier and smoother skin by removing the dead shells from the skin.
Why Should We Do Exfoliation?
Like our other body parts, our skin also heals itself every day, and our skin’s damaged shells are destroyed. That is how we all have several layers of dead skin shells in our skin’s outer surface. These dead skin shell layers can cause dullness, redness, irritation, and also pimples. By exfoliating your skin, you can remove those dead skin shell layers and immediately get healthier and brighter skin.
Exfoliation also cleans up your clogged pores and helps you to get rid of pimples and redness. That is why exfoliation of the skin is essential to maintain your skin health and glow.
Process of exfoliation of your face
As I said before, exfoliation can be done in 2 ways—physical and chemical exfoliation. But before starting anything, you should wash your face with your regular cleanser and gently dry your face.
- Physical Exfoliation:
Then, in physical exfoliation, apply a coin size scrub, gently massage your face with it, then leave it for 20 minutes, wash with Lukewarm water, and pat dry your skin.
- Chemical Exfoliation:
After washing, apply your chemical exfoliants (mainly in the form of peel masks) and gently massage. Now I generally don’t suggest leaving it on the skin. Wash it gently with cold water or lukewarm water and pat dry your skin.
